Classes

No. For in-person classes, there is nothing you need to complete beforehand. If you register for a course that includes an online portion, you will receive instructions by email and must complete it before your scheduled skills session.

Class times vary depending on the course and number of participants. Most in-person classes take approximately 2–3 hours. Skills sessions for courses with an online portion are typically shorter.

After successfully completing your course requirements, you will receive your American Heart Association certification eCard the same day. Certifications are valid for two years.

Bring a valid photo ID and come ready to participate in hands-on training. Comfortable clothing is recommended since you will be practicing CPR and other lifesaving skills.

Yes! Group training is available at our training location or yours. Mobile training is available for businesses, schools, organizations, and community groups with five or more participants.
