Do I need to complete anything before my class?

No. For in-person classes, there is nothing you need to complete beforehand. If you register for a course that includes an online portion, you will receive instructions by email and must complete it before your scheduled skills session.

How long is the class?

Class times vary depending on the course and number of participants. Most in-person classes take approximately 2–3 hours. Skills sessions for courses with an online portion are typically shorter.

When do I receive my certification?

After successfully completing your course requirements, you will receive your American Heart Association certification eCard the same day. Certifications are valid for two years.

What should I bring?
